Madeleine Peyroux
Half The Perfect World by Madeleine Peyroux is amazing. Her soft sweet voice catches you the first time you hear her. He music just makes you happy, it's soft trumpet solos and almost jazzy style is unique. She understands how to convey a message while delivering an amazing performance. "I'm All Right", "Once In A While", and "Smile" are probably my favorties. The lyrics are amazing, and the way she sings it makes you almost want to cry or laugh or even dance. Check her out.

Sad Songs
Sad songs are the best things ever, they are the biggest comfort when were sad they comfort us because we know someone else is wen't through the same thing we are. They are better than words. They don't necessarily have to be the best artists, they just have to have the right tempo and the right lyrics and bam, they have us addicted.
Here are the songs I listen to when I feel the need:
The River- Bruce Springsteen
about family problems and marriage. all the things we wish life was but isn't.
Heaven Forbid- The Fray
comfort to a friend, about how if you're alone not to worry because everything will be alright.
Blackbird- Sarah McLachlan
about getting up and feeling better, and seizing the moment. really uplifting, it will help you feel better, trust me.
Gravity- Sara Bareilles
about trying to get over that person. and how you just can't seem to stop thinking about them. no matter what you try they are always on your mind. how you always want to be with them but just can't.
What Hurts the Most- Rascal Flatts
about being so close to that person, and having it all go away. not understanding why and how it happened so fast. And not knowing what could of happened if you stayed together. the regret.
Happiness- The Fray
again being so close to being happy, but then having it taken away so fast, and not realizing the greatness when you had it with you.
Goodbye- Miley Cyrus (yeah i know. ew.)
alright. i know she sucks. but the lyrics to this song are just so accurate. they describe the way you feel after the end of a relationship. if you close your eyes and try to ignore her voice and just listen to the lyrics you will understand.
One Sweet Love- Sara Bareilles
about how you feel a lost one is still with you, and the love you feel for them. also feeling time was taken from you with this person. regretting if this was the only chance you had.
Thinking of You- Katy Perry
about how you feel when your still in love with someone else. enough explained.
How to Save a Life- The Fray
about losing someone and feeling you can't do anything about it. not understanding how you lost them and feeling like they need you, but you can't do anything about it.
Tears in Heaven- Eric Clapton
feeling like you don't deserve or belong somewhere. or that someone was just too good for you, but you love them and miss them all the same.
Fix You- Coldplay
feeling your so in love you can't control it. losing the person and never being able to love them again. this song is all about the terribleness of love, and how everything will turn out fine in the end. lights will guide you home.
When the Stars Go Blue- Ryan Adams
about being in love, and feeling the lightness and beautifulness of the other person. and at the same time, not completely understanding them and wanting to always be there to comfort and love them.
Feel better I hope these songs helped. <3

Bedouin Soundclash
So. This band is a reggae band with a sort of alternative twist. The band has had different people join but has mostly consisted of two guys; vocalist and guitarist Jay Malinowski, and bassist Eon Sinclair. The two met in Kingston, Ontario. Their lyrics are deep and the music is worth hearing. It's so hard to explain this band, you really got to go out and listen to them. They have their very own style. Their latest album "Street Gospels" is great and includes their hit "Walls Fall Down", one of my favorite songs by them. Check Bedouin Soundclash out.

Sara Bareilles
Sara Bareilles is a jazz-pop singer, with one big hit "Love Song". Honestly this is not her best song. She is jazzy and really good. Her album "Little Voice" is only the start of the amazing live recordings and covers that she has done. Albums don't even begin to cover the tone of her voice, to understand her music completely you have to see her live. She is about a million times better. She is one of the best modern jazz has to offer, along with Nora Jones, Madeleine Peryoux, and Diana Krall. Look her up.
